AI is becoming infrastructure. What comes next?

The important AI question is shifting from what models can do to what institutions can reliably build on top of them.

Artificial intelligence is becoming less like a product category and more like a foundational layer. That changes what serious builders must optimise for.

The next phase will be defined by reliability, access, governance and the systems that translate general capability into specific public value. Models matter. But institutions, data and deployment discipline will determine which ideas survive contact with reality.

The companies that matter will not merely wrap intelligence. They will build the operating systems around it.
